Making the Transition from Version 1.0 to 2.0.
What you need to know.
As most members already know, Version 2.0 of IRIS is more than just an upgrade, it's an entire rebuild.
Everything from the features to the overall design has been changed including the database structure.
Making the transition is a bit of a challenge but we are doing everything we can to make it painless as possible.
We are also confident that you will agree it's worth the effort once you have given it a try. Below is
the current procedure we are attempting to implement for the transition.
Phase 1: Giving Our Members Training Time
We have recently uploaded a number of training videos and have many more coming.
We want to give our members some time to review the new system and get comfortable with the interface.
The last thing you need is a sudden switch causing you to get become lost and unable to operate.
Phase 2: Transferring Your Data to the New Database
Once you are comfortable with the new system, we need to migrate all of your current data
( transaction history, customer data, etc ) to the new database. Our Version 2.0 database is bigger,
faster, more powerful and even more secure. This may take a little time but please be patient.
This is crucial for your new system to operate properly and once completed, you will be using the
most cutting edge POS system available.
Phase 3: Throwing the Switch
Once your data is transferred, we will launch your new system. You will log in as you normally would from our
main website, however there will be a few things you need to do. First, as IRIS Version 2.0 offers more
advanced features, you will need to configure your registers one more time. You will see how to do this in
our training videos and it wont take more than 2 minutes per register. In fact, we now have a new setup wizard
that will walk you through the process. Once completed, you are ready to go with IRIS Version 2.0.
